The double single, “Champions of Tomorrow’s Fun / Atmosphere,” marks the first new release from Dark City Kings since their breakout album, "Love Is Punk." These two tracks lead the way for their upcoming album, "Joy is Defiance" —the band’s second collaboration with legendary producer Kevin Moloney (Sinead O’Connor’s first two albums).

Described as “The Waterboys fronted by Debbie Harry,” Dark City Kings continue to stake their claim as visionary architects of pop, punk, and new wave—known for their soaring choruses, sharp hooks, and raw exuberance.

In a world of floods, tyrants, wars, and heartbreak, the band found refuge in a weathered homestead on a dirt road deep in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. There, by candlelight and wood stove, with Irish whiskey and laughter, they played late into the night, chasing beauty and building songs that could hold joy like a lantern in the dark.

This is Dark City Kings pulling out all the stops.
